A message from the CEO
From witnessing the intensity of open-heart surgery to walking hand-in-hand with my own loved ones through the pain and uncertainty of cancer, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply important compassionate hospice care truly is. It’s not just about managing pain it’s about preserving dignity, creating moments of peace, and supporting families through one of life’s most difficult journeys. That is exactly what we strive to deliver every single day.Home Hospice Care
At Westlake Village Hospice we believe that patient care is driven and tailored by the choices of patient, family, caregiver, and Hospice Team to promote and affirm respect and dignity at the end of life.
We offer a variety of therapies such as Music therapy, Aroma therapy, Reiki therapy, Mental Health therapy, Pet therapy and Massage therapy. Additionally, we offer Wound Care Surgeons, Mobile Optometry, and Grief Counseling.
For people living with cancer, we offer hospice care that focuses on comfort, support, and quality of life. Our team helps manage pain and symptoms, listens to your needs, and works closely with your doctors and family to make sure you feel cared for and not alone.
As another service, we provide medical aid in dying (MAID) which is a practice in which a physician provides a competent adult with a terminal illness with a prescription for a lethal dose of a drug at the request of the patient, which the patient intends to use to end his or her life.
The End of Life Option Act allows an adult diagnosed with a terminal disease, who meets certain qualifications, to request the aid-in-dying drugs from their attending physician. The Act requires physicians to submit specified forms and information to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Our Hospice trained physicians are available for house calls when needed.

															Patient Care
Our Hospice team will perform a specialized, individualized assessment taking into consideration any specific care needs and tailor a Plan of Care centering on personal choices and needs.
At the center of Hospice is the belief that each of us has the right to die pain free and with dignity and that our families’ loved ones will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so.
Contracted Insurances
Hospice care is a fully covered benefit under Medicare Part A and the Medi-Cal program. Most private insurances also cover hospice care, but coverage is subject to the patient’s policy deductibles and out-of-pocket limitations. When considering hospice care, your insurance coverage will be reviewed and discussed to ensure you understand the financial implications. Any questions will be addressed before care begins.
Regardless of your insurance coverage, your hospice benefit covers visits, medical supplies, medications related to your terminal condition, and durable medical equipment. When you choose the hospice benefit for a specific disease diagnosis, you opt out of traditional Medicare coverage, committing to pursue comfort and palliative measures only, and foregoing aggressive or curative therapies for your disease process. If you seek curative treatment for a diagnosis unrelated to the terminal condition, it will be covered under your Medicare program.
The following services are covered by your insurance while receiving care:
- Physician visits
 - Physical, occupational, and speech therapy if needed
 - Nursing visits
 - Medications related to your terminal condition
 - Certified Home Health aide visits
 - Medical supplies
 - Medical Social Worker visits

 - Spiritual Care visits
 - Short-term General Inpatient level of care focused
 - Bereavement counseling on symptom relief

Testimonials
When the difficult times comes, you want to give a best comfort and care to your loved ones. And in this time is very hard to make a choice who to go with and have a peace of mind that your loved ones are in a good hands. I’ve made a huge mistake, chose and agency that owned by a friend of a friend who I know, and had a nightmare for 5 full days ( the only easy part was a sign up), other than that, I felt that for them my Mom is a “piece” to make money with. Thankfully, I’ve been referred to Alexandra ( at that time I didn’t even knew the name of the agency). From the first conversation with her that took an hour and she wanted to know everything about my mom, her situation and about our family, I felt very comfortable, I felt that she cares about people who gets under her care. I’ve decided to make a transfer from the “nightmare agency “ to her. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Transfer was very smooth and easy , she answered every phone call and text, was concerned about every single detail. When the transfer was completed, I had nurse coming to the house within an hour. He spent a good 40 min with me and mom, making sure he didn’t miss anything about her health and condition. Next day, I had everyone on my mom team calling me, and with every single person I came in contact with, it was very easy to communicate, I felt warmth and compassion. Every question and concern I had was addressed. I called Alexandra and told her that, and thank her for having such an incredible team. And I came into a peace myself, feeling that I don’t have to frustrated anymore with getting help, and can concentrate on spending my time with mom. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I’m a business owner my self working directly with clients, and always believing that yes we are in business to make a living, but your client or patient come first. And that is what I’m experiencing so far with Alexandra and her team.
